THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG, AND YOU ARE IN PAIN !!

It may have just recently happened or started, maybe you’ve been suffering with this for weeks, months or years. In fact almost everyone who knows or loves you knows about it. You hate to keep complaining and you really don’t mean to…heck you even talk to the man or the lady standing near you in the check out line at your grocery store.

YOU ARE IN REAL PAIN, AND YOU HURT OR INJURED YOUR LOW BACK.

You might recall when it happened, maybe not.

It may have been the time you worked too hard in the garden, or you may have bent over to lift something heavy. Or you may have moved the wrong way, or reached down to pick up a child, or a bag of groceries, or tie your shoes…and you felt a pop or a snap in your LOW BACK. You may have been sitting with your legs crossed, and you sneezed. Your pain may have crept upon you gradually, maybe it hit you like a truck and it is not getting any better.

Depending on the cause of your low back pain, your symptoms may vary, but more than likely include:

A burning, stabbing, or stinging pain, in your low back;

Your pain may start in one of the gluteal cheeks (your butt cheeks), and then it meanders down and around your thigh, and around your calf, and into your foot;

Then it hurts when you press the accelerator,

Or the brakes of your car;

You have real pain in your back, and a stinging, tingling, or numbness in your leg, thigh, calf or foot;

You are in real pain, and it may begin when you-

Sit for any length of time, stand for any length of time,

Walk for any length of time;

Your pain is worse as or when you are in the process of sitting, or standing;

YOU JUST CAN’T GET COMFORTABLE!!

You are in pain and are uncomfortable when you sit…

You are in pain and uncomfortable when you stand…

You have not had a good night’s sleep in weeks or months…

Intimate relations have been out of the question…

You have been out of sorts and cranky.

You know you haven’t been yourself

Now you are in trouble and you know it!

You went to your doctor.

He gave you a prescription for the latest, newest and best “High-tech”, super duper EXPENSIVE anti-inflamatory medicine. That didn’t touch the pain, but it did tear-up your stomach.

You can’t take that medicine, and it was too expensive to throw away.

You return to your doctor because you are in PAIN, and you need help. Your doctor sends you out for

X-Rays…these are not cheap either!!

Unfortunately, since X-Rays don’t reveal ‘soft tissue’ abnormalities, injuries or disease processes…Your doctor tells you he can’t see anything wrong and recommends an MRI, or magnetic resonance imaging.

By now you’re getting worried.

Your doctor, in the meantime was gracious enough to write you a prescription for a few pain killers, like Vicodin® or Percocet®, and they gave you the warning to be careful with these…making you feel like a Doctor-hopping drug seeker!!

YOU ARE NOT LOOKING FOR DRUGS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR RELIEF!!!

Your doctor mentioned surgery as an option, and now you are terrified…

Your MRI shows evidence that there is a real problem.

You are becoming now more familiar with terms such as Herniated Disc, Sciatica, Radiculopathy, Spondylolisthesis, Degenerative Disc Disease, Spondylolysis, Lumbar Instability, and an assortment of serious sounding terms.

You’re practically learning a new language!

Everyone knows at least one (or more) horror stories about back surgery, and you certainly don’t want to be the poor soul who is at the center of the next story.

Your doctor didn’t tell you that historically…

1% or LESS OF BACK SURGERIES ARE SUCCESSFUL, MANY REQUIRE FURTHER SURGICAL REVISIONS* (More Surgeries).

Even if you are one of the luckier ones who does better with surgery, there is still a risk inherent in any surgical procedure. Not to mention the very real risk associated with the use of the anti-inflammatory medicines and narcotic pain relievers that you will almost definitely need to get you through your recovery.
